Press release date: July 7, 2008

Romoland, CA-July 7, 2008-Datatronics Romoland, Inc., is pleased to announce that the company has been reclassified to the certification of "Small Woman Minority Owned Business" by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Effective May 1, 2008, the reclassification of the company's status positions Datatronics Romoland (DRI) to compete in multiple supplier diversity programs sponsored by the federal government.

"Since 1971, Datatronics Romoland has been a committed member of the global technology community by manufacturing and delivering magnetic components that help our customers meet and exceed their goals," said Fred Tenorio, National Sales Manager. "With the Small Woman Minority Owned Business designation, we can now more efficiently bring our reputation of providing quality magnetic components to the federal contractors' market." Tenorio added.

Small Woman Minority Owned Business certifications are assigned by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) under public law 95-507 and 100-656. Datatronics Romoland's new classification is now identified and recorded with the Central Contracts Registration office (CCR) in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.1102. The federal supplier diversity programs enable smaller manufacturers to compete on a more level playing field with larger suppliers to win government contracts.

The Small Woman Minority Owned Business certification enables Datatronics Romoland to pursue contracting opportunities with government and private corporations that participate in supplier diversity programs. Certification is required by government contractors offering the diversity programs in order to prevent fraud. Many government contractors are subject to mandates that require a specified portion of the government's business to be directed to minority owned companies.
