PRINCETON, N.J.-Dataram Corporation [NASDAQ: DRAM], a leading provider of server and workstation memory, today announced the immediate availability of a first-to-market 8GB memory upgrade for Sun Microsystems' Sun Fire T1000 and T2000 servers. Dataram's DRST2000/8GB memory option allows customers to double the maximum memory capacities of these systems.
The Sun Fire T2000 supports up to 64GB of Dataram memory, double the 32GB capacity from Sun, when all 16 DIMM slots are populated with 4GB modules. Memory must be installed in groups of 8 or 16 matched DIMMs. The Sun Fire T1000 will support up to 32GB of Dataram memory, versus 16GB with Sun. Memory must be installed in groups of 4 or 8 matched DIMMs.
In addition to Dataram's new 8GB upgrade, their DRST2000 family of memory options for the T1000 and T2000 include 1, 2 and 4GB upgrades, featuring DDR2 ECC DIMMs with Chipkill(TM) advanced error correction technology. Each DRST2000 contains a matched pair of 512MB, 1GB, 2GB or 4GB modules and comes with Dataram's lifetime warranty and is guaranteed to be form, fit and function compatible with Sun.

The T1000 and T2000 systems are the first to feature Sun's new UltraSPARC "Niagara" T1 processor which has up to 8 cores, with each core having 4 threads that work simultaneously so tasks are performed in parallel for faster execution. Sun's "CoolThreads" technology is designed to save customers money on datacenter power, cooling and space costs. In addition, a complete line of 100% compatible memory options for all Sun servers and workstations are available from Dataram to keep your hardware budget in tact.
