(September 27, 2007) - DataLase, originator of the award winning DataLase® process, will be exhibiting its range of mass customization solutions for the first time in the US, on booth #S-5251 PACK EXPO Las Vegas. The unique DataLase process uses a laser reactive coating which undergoes a color change when exposed to a CO2 laser. The DataLase process delivers the flexibility of customization with the cost savings of mass production. PACK EXPO takes place in Las Vegas from October 15 -17, 2007.
DataLase® CASEMARK(TM) Flexo, which offers a number of unique benefits to the market, will be among the range of mass customization solutions on show on booth #S-5251. It is the only system capable of delivering a consistently verifiable bar code on-line and direct-to-carton. This solution provides end-users with the flexibility to apply barcodes and variable information as well as other customized information which has been traditionally pre-printed by the corrugated box supplier. This significantly enhances production line efficiency for both converters and end-users, with change over time and small order fees dramatically reduced.
Also present on booth #S-5251 at PACK EXPO 2007 will be DataLase® PACKMARKTM, a unique coding product used for applying variable information to primary packaging materials. With DataLase PACKMARK, the DataLase chemistry is applied to the packaging, and when activated with a CO2 laser, a positive image appears. Due to the stability of the image produced, this innovative solution, which has a wide range of applications relating to coding, marking, and tracking and tracing, provides extreme protection for brand integrity.
