July 20, 2009 - ASTM International Committee C26 on Nuclear Fuel Cycle has recognized Dale Wahlquist, department manager, applied engineering design and drafting, at Idaho National Laboratory, with Harlan J. Anderson Award for his outstanding contributions to committee. Wahlquist, who joined ASTM International in 1999, is first vice chair of Committee C26 and leads Subcommittee C26.14 on Remote Systems. He also works on joint group with Committee E10 on Nuclear Technology and Applications.

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., 15 July 2009-ASTM International Committee C26 on Nuclear Fuel Cycle has recognized Dale Wahlquist, department manager, applied engineering design and drafting, at Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with the Harlan J. Anderson Award for his outstanding contributions to the committee. Wahlquist, who joined ASTM International in 1999, is first vice chair of Committee C26 and leads Subcommittee C26.14 on Remote Systems. He also works on the joint group with Committee E10 on Nuclear Technology and Applications. A graduate of Brigham Young University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Wahlquist holds a master's degree, also in mechanical engineering, from the University of Idaho. In his role at Idaho National Laboratory, which he assumed in 2008, his work focuses on engineering design and management, specifically the design of systems supporting nuclear research. In addition to ASTM International, Wahlquist is a former member of the American Glovebox Society's Standards Development Committee.
