WOBURN, MA - May 06, 2009 - People can contract swine flu by touching infected surfaces and then touching their mouth or nose. To protect their customers, cleaning professionals can use commercial disinfectants to help eliminate influenza virus from surfaces. Pressure washers are effective for cleaning and rinsing disinfectants from large surface areas. To this end, Daimer Industries announced special pricing on its Super Max® Super-HOT® wet steam pressure washers. These machines offer industrial-strength cleaning power with steam of up to 330º F.
Cleaning Recommendations
To prevent the spread of the disease, cleaning professionals should clean visibly dirty surfaces, then rinse, and disinfect. Surfaces without visible dirt can be cleaned with a disinfectant.
Health experts recommend cleaning surfaces that groups of people are likely to touch, such as playground equipment, sports equipment, fences, patios, and stair railings.
Super-HOT® Pressure Washers
Daimer's Super-HOT® pressure washer line includes 17 products designed for cleaning professionals who want dedicated, high-temperature wet steam. The product line offers a range of pressure levels and power/heating options for indoor and outdoor uses.
The entry priced $4,521 Super Max® 6000SP generates pressure levels of up to 750 PSI. The 3,000-PSI Super Max 15900SP, which costs $11,814, offers the highest pressure level in the line.
Power options include electric, gas, diesel, and propane. Heating options include oil, diesel, and propane. Cleaning professionals can mix and match power and heating options depending on the application. For the greatest mobility outdoors, for, say, disinfecting large playgrounds, Daimer offers the $12,636 Super Max® 12880SP, a gas-powered and oil/diesel heated machine.
For cleaning sensitive indoor environments, such as food preparation areas where fumes are a concern, Daimer offers the $4,889 electric-powered, propane-heated Super Max® 7000SP.
The products also offer chemical injection, so cleaning professionals can add liquid cleaning chemicals, an essential part of a preventative cleaning regimen.
Many of the higher-end Super-HOT® pressure washers support optional multi-gun operation, which allows several workers to use the machine at once.
The directions supplied with a commercial disinfectant must be followed to ensure the proper result. Cleaning and disinfecting alone cannot prevent the spread of influenza virus and must be combined with appropriate medical treatment and public health measures.
