Daimer Industries Announces New Pressure Washers with Automatic Shutoff Technology®

AST® adds a new level of convenience for operators of electric-powered pressure washers.

Woburn, MA - February 12, 2009 - Daimer Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributor of commercial cleaning products, introduced a new technology, Automatic Shutoff Technology® (AST®), which switches off key components in electric-powered pressure washers after 30 seconds of inactivity.

"AST® shuts off the pump and motor when an electric-powered pressure washer is idle," said Matthew Baratta, Daimer spokesman. "This is a huge time-saver for pressure washer operators who are working with a long hose far from the machine. Automatic-shutoff also reduces overheating and wear and tear on these two key components.

What is AST®?

AST® is a proprietary system that works as follows: When AST ® is engaged, it shuts off the pump and motor after 30 seconds if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the pressure washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on.

This feature is particularly useful for applications in which the pressure washer operator is using a long hose, say more than 25 feet, and it is not practical for them to go back and forth to the machine to turn it off during every break.

The pumps and motors in conventional electric pressure washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the system. As a result the user has to keep walking back to the system to shut it off or risk damaging the motor and pump.

Like Daimer's other electric pressure washers, the new line of AST® machines features long-lasting stainless steel heating coils. Often, lower priced units use more fragile aluminum coils, which can be prone to holes and eventual failure and expense coil replacement.

Daimer Industries has incorporated AST® into its Super Max® line of steam pressure washers . This line includes everything from cold water pressure washers to hot water/steam to tri-mode models offering cold water, hot water, and steam modes, The products offer pressures of up to 6500 psi and steam temperatures as high as 330ºF. The models come in 50 to 60 Hz, and voltages from 110/120V for customers worldwide.

The Super Max® 6000 AST pressure washer is a tri-mode, electric pressure washer that combines a cold water pressure washer, a hot water pressure washer, and a steam pressure washer into a single unit. It offers 750 psi, hot water temperatures of 180ºF to 210ºF and steam temperatures of up to 330ºF.

The industrial grade Super Max® 20000 AST pressure washer is an electric cold water pressure washer that offers 6500 psi and an 8 GPM flow rate. The machine includes three remote control stations so multiple operators and can use it simultaneously.
