Daifuku Celebrates 70 Years in Material Handling

Salt Lake City: This year marks the 70th anniversary of Daifuku, a company that engineers and manufacturers high quality automated material handling and warehouse management systems.

"Demand in the U.S. and Europe has steadily increased over the past few years, proving these countries to be very important markets for Daifuku," notes Nobo Morita, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Daifuku America's Factory Automation & Distribution Automation division. "With engineering, project management and design capabilities available within the company, we are positioned to offer our customers the ability to not only solve problems but help them take advantage of opportunities in the marketplace."

Japan-based Daifuku operates more than 150 global offices, branches, subsidiaries and manufacturing facilities around the globe. In the U.S., the Salt Lake City office will continue to perform engineering, sales, project management and design functions for factory automation and distribution automation.

Daifuku has also re-launched their corporate portal, www.daifuku.com. The portal offers a comprehensive view into the world of Daifuku and the history of the global material handling industry. It details Daifuku's offerings that are used by the automotive, electronics, manufacturing, distribution and cleanroom industries worldwide. To complement the corporate portal, Daifuku's global affiliates will launch channel sites toward the end of 2007.

To commemorate its anniversary, Daifuku announced its new corporate dictum: "Material Handling and Beyond." The motto represents the company's goal to continue providing superior material handling and to pursue its vision of continuing to advance the world's material handling technology.
