To help address the global increase in traffic accidents, DENSO also will present safety systems to mitigate accidents and make drivers feel at ease. Some of DENSO active safety technologies that will be displayed include: the Low-speed Collision Avoidance System, which helps prevent collisions; the Automatic Steering System for Parking Assistance, which helps the driver steer the vehicle into a parking space; and, the Lane Departure Warning System, which alerts the driver of potential hazards when the driver changes lanes.

In addition, other DENSO products and technologies that connect people and vehicles to be displayed include: the Remote Touch Controller, which allows the driver to operate the audio system using a mouse-like device; Air conditioning systems and other cabin devices that can be controlled without directly touching them; and, the Drowsiness Detection System that detects when the driver is falling asleep by analyzing the driver's facial expressions.

DENSO also will display products and technologies that connect vehicles and society, which include: a Sensing System, a technology equipped with sensors to monitor the vehicle's surroundings; and, the Vehicle-Infrastructure Cooperative System, which is based on vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications technologies.

DENSO's technologies that connect society and people to be displayed include: ARPEGGIO, a service that connects Smartphones and on-board devices to allow users to safely use Smartphone applications. Some applications include an information search and Internet radio.

In addition to these technologies, DENSO will exhibit eight products including inverters, battery-monitoring units, and electric compressors for hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles, which will be essential in the coming age of electric power vehicles.
