Family of Ring Index Drives on Display in Booth F-2655
Auburn Hills, Michigan, July 14, 2008 - Designed to meet customers' exacting requirements, DE-STA-CO's family of innovative Camco® Ring Index Drives features dramatically larger through-holes to accommodate a variety of automated machinery and equipment, including electrical wiring and air or hydraulic lines.
By increasing the size of the through-holes, users can locate equipment in the center, making the outer periphery of automated machinery available for operator accessibility and additional auxiliary equipment. Additionally, the new index ring drives allow machine builders to have a larger number of workstations for the assembly of more complex products.
The new product family includes Model 1100RNG, which features a 1 m nominal diameter ring; and the Model 1550RNG, with a 1.5-meter nominal diameter ring. Both can be ordered in a 6- to 48-stop configuration.
Additional features of the Camco index ring drives include: o Large output mounting surface supported by a 4-point contact bearing for high accuracy and superior thrust and moment capacity o Direct shaft-mounted motorized drive package with reducer and brake-motor combinations to suit any application o Precision ground cam with preloaded cam followers for maximum accuracy o Durable cast steel housing and standard base options o Preloaded "center rib" design for smooth acceleration and deceleration with precision positioning
