DALSA Smart Cameras and Controllers at the Leading Packaging and Processing Show
BILLERICA, Mass. (October 27, 2010) - DALSA Corporation [TSX: DSA], a world leader in digital imaging technology, will feature the latest advancements for packing and processing applications at Pack Expo International 2010. Pack Expo International, the leading show dedicated to the latest advancements in packaging materials, containers, machinery, will be held in Chicago, on October 31 - November 3, 2010, and DALSA will exhibit its products in booth #6158, which is in Lakeside Upper (East Building)
DALSA will showcase its smart cameras and multi-camera vision systems designed to improve packing product quality, increase productivity and reduce costs. These include:
o BOA Smart Camera - DALSA's BOA smart camera leverages the full breadth and depth of DALSA's design, engineering, and manufacturing expertise including sensor, camera, image-processing and vision software development to deliver the next generation in smart camera technology. The BOA smart camera is available in monochrome, color and high-resolution models.
o GEVA Industrial Controller - GEVA is a high-performance industrial controller that offers excellent cost savings for multi-camera vision applications. With expandable Gigabit Ethernet camera interfaces, GEVA supports GigE area or line cameras with monochrome or color sensors.
Product information and label code verification are important parts of the packaging and quality control process, both for manufacturers and consumers in the food and beverage industry. DALSA's smart cameras and multi-camera vision systems are increasingly being used to help increase the accuracy of the inspection process in these industries, saving labor, time and money.
