Press release date: July 13, 2009

CORVALLIS, OREGON, July 13, 2009-CyberLock goes green with two choices in rechargeable keys: the Standard Rechargeable Key for light duty applications and the new XD Rechargeable Key for all types of applications. Both rechargeable keys eliminate the need to regularly replace and discard batteries. Small and environmentally-friendly, the rechargeable keys join an extensive line of products offered by Videx (www.videx.com) as part of the CyberLock Electronic Lock System.

The Standard Rechargeable Key is intended for light-duty use and comparable in size to the average electronic car key. Similar in size and packaged in a small, light-weight case, the new XD Rechargeable Key's extra-durable fiber nylon case with brass tip makes it ideal for harsher environments.

Videx offers a third choice of key for those that prefer the convenience of replacing batteries on-the-fly. The original CyberKey uses a 3-volt lithium battery that is easy to source and replace in the field. This key's rugged fiberglass-reinforced case and replaceable brass tip make it a tough performer in all environments.

With the CyberLock Electronic Lock System, each user's electronic key can be programmed with access privileges that either restrict or allow access to specific locks during certain times of the day and week. Any organization can quickly gain full-featured electronic access control by replacing the mechanical cylinders inside their existing locks with CyberLock electronic cylinders. CyberLocks have no keyway to vandalize and the electronic keys cannot be duplicated. The system provides detailed audit reporting for management because the electronic locks and keys record all openings and unauthorized attempts to enter.
