Erie, Pa. - Customers who want to witness firsthand the effectiveness of X-Ray technology can submit product samples for testing and receive an instantaneous analysis from Eriez®, world authority in magnetic, vibratory and inspection applications.
The sample testing is undertaken at Eriez' Technical Center, adjacent to the headquarters facility in Erie, Pennsylvania. Since it first went into operation in 1964, the Eriez Technical Center has conducted application tests numbering in the tens of thousands on all types of materials and processes. The laboratory features more than 100 types of permanent magnetic, electromagnetic, vibratory, screening, metal detection and X-Ray systems.
Once a product is submitted for X-Ray testing, there are a number of evaluation steps involved to determine the machine's ability to detect miniscule contaminants within the sample. Customers can submit raw bulk material or products already packaged for testing.
Lab workers at the Technical Center will conduct a variety of tests on different models of X-Ray equipment and immediately share results with customers. This is achieved via a secured online Web site where customers can view the testing and be active participants. Customers are also encouraged to visit the Eriez Technical Center to not only see the results of the testing, but to participate in the actual testing procedures.
Eriez E-Z Tec X-Ray Inspection Systems use advanced linear array technology that is unrivalled in the industry for its sensitivity, speed and sophistication. X-Ray systems monitor product and package attributes such count, mass, fill level, fat analysis, broken or damaged product, as well as detecting unwanted metals, stone, glass, bone and some plastics.
Contact your Eriez representative who can furnish the necessary details for submitting samples for X-Ray testing or arranging a visit to the Technical Center in Erie.
