Rock Falls, IL, August 27, 2009 - The IFH Group (for Innovative Fluid Handling) is the largest manufacturer in the USA of custom steel fuel and hydraulic oil tanks for off-road and specialty vehicles. Applications include combines, heavy terrain fork lifts, earth boring equipment, boom cranes, grounds keeping equipment, end loaders and hay bailers. Fuel Tanks and Hydraulic Reservoirs range in capacities from 1 to more than 300 gallons, and are manufactured from steel, stainless steel, aluminum or aluminized steel.
The IFH Group pioneered the use of aluminized steel - a unique blend of mild sheet steel hot dip coated on both sides with an aluminum-silicon alloy - to solve the contamination problems inherent in uncoated steels. It combines the corrosion and rust resistance of aluminum with the structural strength (and lower cost) of steel. Aluminized steel tanks are resistant to virtually all petroleum-based and synthetic fluids while providing protection from atmospheric corrosion.
The hydraulic oil tanks are custom built to fit the needs of the application. This includes everything from a simple two-part tank strap to hydraulic reservoir tanks with more than 60 different parts. Custom-made hydraulic tanks have an advantage over off-the-shelf tanks because they can be designed to fit the exact space and technical requirements necessary for optimal performance of the end product.
Fuel tanks can be provided complete with all the additional equipment the end user would normally have to add at their own location prior to calling it a "finished product". This can include fuel level indicators, sight gauges, straps, fittings, filters, strainers, and any other components required.
