Custom manufactured flocked materials ranging from a soft blanket to optical and metallurgical polishing pads, commercial carpet, specialty fabrics and tapes are available from Spectro Coating Corp. of Leominster, Massachusetts.
Spectro Custom Flocked Materials feature fibers made from nylon, polyester, rayon, acrylic, and cotton which are cut to very small sizes and applied to a base substrate with an adhesive, and finished to match exact requirements. Capable of achieving specific performance characteristics such as thermal insulation, sound conditioning, or slip resistance, these custom flocked materials can be embossed, dyed, printed and finished to specification.
Featuring thickness of fibers from 0.8 to 45 Deniers, Spectro Custom Flocked Materials can incorporate combinations of fiber sizes, materials and selec-tive adhesives. The surface area of a square inch can be increased by over a thousand, depending upon the fiber. Finishes can include anti-microbial, breathable, fire-resistant, stain-resistant, and waterproofing.
Spectro Custom Flocked Materials are priced according to design and manu-facturing requirements; supplied slit to width on up to 68" wide rolls. Representative samples can be provided upon request.
