Cummins names Ray J. Amlung Vice President and General Manager - Fuel Systems


COLUMBUS, IND. - Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today that Ray J. Amlung has been named Vice President and General Manager - Fuel Systems, effective immediately. Amlung had been Executive Director & General Manager - Fuel Systems since May 2005.

Amlung, 48, joined Cummins in 1982 as a Field Test Engineer. During his career at Cummins, he has also worked as a Senior Engineer - Technical Support (1985-1986); Manager - Fuel Systems and Electronics (1986-1988); Manager/Director - High Horsepower Service Engineering (1989-1993); Director - Aftermarket/Reliability Maverick Program (1993-1995); Chief Engineer - Fuel Systems, High Horsepower, High Pressure Injection (1995-1998); Chief Engineer - Heavy Duty and High Horsepower HPI(1998-2002); and Executive Engineer - Fuel Systems (2002-2005).

Amlung, a native of Louisville, Ky., is a graduate of St. Xavier High School. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1980 and a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1982. He, his wife Alesia, and three children live in Columbus, where Amlung serves on the board of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Amlung also serves as a local Little League Baseball Coach and is active in the St. Bartholomew Church.
