Press release date: April 26, 2011

Cryofab, Inc. based in Kenilworth, NJ, which manufactures and services cryogenic equipment and accessories, is proud to celebrate its 40th Anniversary in April 2011.

The successful family operation was founded in 1971 by George Grillo, who worked in the cryogenic business since 1936, and his partners Peter Lapore and Augustine DiGennaro. Lapore passed away in 1973, and Grillo's sons Vincent and Greg bought out DiGennaro in 2002 to keep it a true family business. The brothers started working for the company in 1972 and 1982 respectively, and continue to run it today. Under their leadership, Cryofab has grown substantially over the years in both size as well as volume.

According to Vincent Grillo, Co-President of Sales, "We began as a four-employee, 2000-square-foot operation then occupied our first building in Linden with seven employees and 5000 square feet. By 1984 we needed a much larger facility to accommodate our expansion, so bought our current 30,000-square-foot building in Kenilworth in 1984 where we now staff 52."

Grillo goes on to explain that while the industry and technology has undergone dramatic change since the company's inception, Cryofab has kept ahead of the curve, and its success has been based solely on the merits of its innovative products and superior service.

"We're known in the industry as a 'niche manufacturer' who offers custom solutions as well as standard fabrications to customers worldwide," says Grillo. "Cryofab also offers ASME, DOT, TPED and PED products, and our in-house engineers can assist with product development for OEM or private label fabrication, whether it be prototype or productions runs."

Among Cryofab's accomplishments is being a pioneer as one of the first to develop a liquid helium dewar to replace magnetic dewars used in hospitals for MRIs. As a result, the company today works with a diverse and prominent client list that includes national laboratories, top-name research facilities and major gas distributors around the world.

Besides being known for its quality products, reasonable pricing, ethical business practice and dedication to exceeding client expectations, Cryofab is committed to being a good corporate citizen of Kenilworth and beyond by incorporating energy efficient policies and new technologies that benefit the environment, the community and our customers.
