PARSIPPANY, NJ, May 28, 2008 - The Clean Air Group LLC, an affiliate of Croll Reynolds Company, Inc. (www.croll.com), an engineering firm specializing in the research, design, and manufacture of air pollution control equipment, has expanded its capacity to help companies meet global Tier 3 compliance requirements under the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments. Led by Engineering Manager Ms. Bindu Bhagat and Group Manager Carolyn Byszewski, both of whom transferred from Croll Reynolds, the team now includes Richard Eng and Bernard Newberger as Chief Engineer and Applications and Design Engineer, respectively. Steve Richmond transferred from Croll Reynolds Process Vacuum to The Clean Air Group as Project Manager, and William Wojciechowski rounds out the team as the group's dedicated CAD operator.

The expanded Clean Air Group, which just moved into new office space adjacent to Croll Reynolds, is helping the owners and operators of chemical factories, refineries, incinerators, and industrial/commercial sources of air pollution reduce both large and small emissions.

"Since 2007, The Clean Air Group has been awarded contracts for several multi-million-dollar scrubber systems in the United States, Spain and China, working primarily with international engineering and construction firms," Byszewski said. "We have tripled revenues between 2005 and 2007 and anticipate additional hiring to meet the increasing demand for air pollution control systems." The Clean Air Group specializes in engineering and building control equipment to tackle harsh corrosive environments, such as solar-grade silicon pollution control projects, and conventional mineral acid and VOC scrubbing. Ethylene oxide vapor control as well as SOx and NOx have long been specialty control applications, and the current boom in bio-diesel fuels has resulted in an increase in ethanol and methanol absorber system sales.

Byszewski also noted that The Clean Air Group is an approved vendor for a leading petroleum technology licensor to supply Jet Venturi for HCl and Cl2 controls operating at the ultra-high temperatures required on naphtha reformer regeneration units, and offers custom-engineered concentrated acid storage tank vent systems to control these otherwise small-source emissions.

Samuel W. Croll III, CEO, believes The Clean Air Group is extremely well-positioned for today's global pollution-control environment. "Regulations continue to tighten, and the control chemistries have become increasingly complex," he said. "The list of environmentally harmful components requiring control keeps growing, while threshold limits are reduced to ever smaller parts-per-million and parts-per-billion levels. New technologies and manufacturing methods consistently present novel and more difficult air pollution control challenges that we will have to meet."

Innovation is the key, according to Byszewski. "We are building a team of resourceful, seasoned engineers who can examine both environmental concerns and process criteria to offer progressive, cost-effective solutions to meet the ever-changing pollution-control objectives of the 21st century," she said. "Richard Eng, Steve Richmond and Bernard Newberger all fit that professional profile and are outstanding additions to fill key roles."

Eng oversees the design, materials and equipment specification, selection and fabrication of large scrubber systems. A former director of engineering for a specialty chemical company, Eng came to The Clean Air Group with a strong background in plant engineering and facilities maintenance and the development and implementation of engineering and technical standards for chemical plants worldwide. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from University of North Florida, Jacksonville.

Richmond, a transfer from Croll Reynolds Process Vacuum Business to The Clean Air Group, manages the large projects with world class engineering and construction firms. He has responsibilities for purchasing, expediting, scheduling, documentation and reporting. In his early career he was responsible for identifying problems and implementing corrective actions and new procedures in a number of industries, including paper, ceramics production, and large-scale concrete products manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic engineering from Rutgers University.

Newberger assists in the process and mechanical design of systems, the selection of process equipment and the preparation of detailed drawings and cost estimates. He comes to The Clean Air Group with a strong background in process engineering. During his career, he has developed and implemented emissions compliance systems in a variety of chemical and manufacturing plants for major chemical companies. He holds Bachelor's degrees from City College of New York and William Paterson College and Master's degrees from William Paterson College and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
