Cray Valley Signs European Distribution Agreement with Grolman Group


EXTON, Pa., February 2, 2011 - The Hydrocarbon Specialty Chemical division of Cray Valley has signed a distribution contract with Grolman Group to position all of Cray Valley's materials to the plastic market in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux. Grolman will focus on developing sales at masterbatch and compounder companies where they sell a variety of other products.

Cray Valley's materials for improving the performance of thermoplastic includes specialty low molecular weight functional additives based on two unique chemicals, rubbery polybutadienes and glassy styrene maleic anhydride copolymers. Both products families can provide maleic anhydride or other functional groups for reactive extrusion, increase the Tg or to improve the dispersion or coupling of fillers.
