Press release date: March 26, 2009

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Correct Building Products, LLC (CBP, www.correctbp.com) announced plans to reduce the number of products it offers to simplify ordering and management for lumber distributors and improve the company's ability to respond to peak demand during the upcoming deck building season.

"With all the decking choices on the market, we wanted to make it easier for our distributors to keep our products moving through their systems," noted Greg Ciampa, CBP's vice president of sales. "It's all about increasing "Turn & Earn" opportunities for our distribution partners. These changes will allow them to carry our most popular decking and rail items without having to stock a large number of SKUs, and allow us to fill orders more efficiently in the coming months."

The rapid rise in consumer demand for ultra-low maintenance products and the ability to increase the volume of recycled raw materials in its CorrectDeck CX product line led the company to end active promotion of the "first generation" composite CorrectDeck, rail, dock and lumber products, which represents the largest reduction in SKUs, or stock keeping units.

"By focusing on our popular, high-performance products, we, and by extension, our distributors and dealers, can deliver the decking and rail that builders and homeowners most want," added Ciampa.

The company began evaluating its product line following feedback gathered from distributors at recent trade shows and via regular outreach to its customers. They are intent on finding the right balance between offering a diverse product choice for consumers and streamlining the ordering process for distributors. CBP will continue to support existing product that dealers have in their inventory, as well as products consumers have at their homes through the existing warranty program and Customer Relations department.

"All I have to say is Hallelujah," said Harry Lund at Coastal Forest Products, one of CBP's distributors. "We really appreciate that they listened and responded to the market. By paring down they will be able to provide better service and this change is a very positive thing."

Distributors and dealers who have questions about these changes should contact their regional sales representative or 1-800-DECK-877.
