WHARTON, New Jersey - April 25th, 2008 - Convertech's GlideLock(TM) clutched rollers surpass competitors products by providing an internal slip mechanism to control tensions from .15PLI. Now able to slit widths down to ½ inch, Convertech's differential shaft gives converters a better option for slipped core winding.
The combination of Convertech's GlideLock(TM) clutched rollers, and CoreLock(TM) pads ensures each core is locked firmly, and keeps the correct tension regardless of core width or material gage variation between rolls.
Convertech's differential shaft also eliminates operator error. Because each GlideLock(TM) clutched roller reacts automatically to each core's tension requirements, the tension applied to each material is independent of shaft speed. Even if the operator overspeeds the shaft, the wound roll tightness will still be controlled by the GlideLock(TM) clutch pressure. This ensures high roll quality and consistent roll hardness despite shaft speed variations.

Shaft with rollers
For unloading of 60 kg rolls from slitter rewinders we need to insert rollers on the shafts which make it easier to shift the rolls over to the arbors.
