Air & Waste Management Association Presents Conference on Air Quality Models



Pittsburgh, PA (August 6, 2009) The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present "Guideline on Air Quality Models: Next Generation of Models," October 28-30, 2009, in Raleigh, NC. This conference will discuss the proposed revisions to the U.S. EPA's Guideline on Air Quality Models, the guideline that is required for use in the preparation of state implementation plans, federal construction permits, and state permits.

"Guideline on Air Quality Models: Next Generation of Models" will address the technical and regulatory issues associated with the proposed guideline changes and discuss related topics including: meteorological data use; regulatory analysis; AERMOD and CALPUFF; model comparisons; and photochemical and CFD modeling. The conference will also offer two associated professional development courses, "Introduction to the CALPUFF Modeling System," and "Introduction to AERMOD."
