Conectec Names First Director of Sales and Marketing

30-Year industry veteran brings strong customer focus to global interconnect leader

Hoffman Estates - September, 2008 - A 30-year interconnect industry veteran brings his
"customer's ear" to Conectec International as the global RF connector manufacturer's first
director of sales and marketing.

Ron Strain will oversee the development of a national sales network and Conectec's expanded
ability to deliver customized interconnect solutions.

"For three decades, Ron has brought a strong customer ear to the interconnect industry," said
Conectec International President Bob Curran. "His philosophy - provide solutions and value to
the customer, be fast and flexible, build on the relationship - is very much in line with the way
Conectec has operated since our first days in business."

Among Strain's immediate priorities will be developing a new national sales network that will
help Conectec grow its core RF interconnect market while delivering personal, customized and
fast service to customers everywhere.

"Conectec has a well-earned reputation in the industry for its ability to apply connectors to the
unique needs of every customer," Strain said. "A national sales network will allow us to focus
even more closely on developing high-tech customer solutions, such as our FAKRA connector
line that serves the auto industry.

"Our goal is to deliver a total positive customer experience, and that will ultimately be the way
we take Conectec International to the next level," he said.

Strain comes to Conectec from HARTING, Inc., where he held several sales, distribution and
management positions from 2000 to 2008. Prior to HARTING, Strain served in customer-centric
leadership positions at Applied Concepts Inc., Force Electronics, Molex Inc., Viking Connectors,
Heilind Electronics, and Marshall Electronics.
