Cone Drive Operations, Inc.
240 E. Twelfth St., P.O. Box 272
Traverse City, MI, 49685
USA

Press release date: August 15, 2008

Cone Drive has recently relaunched its website www.conedrive.com after extensive research with both internal and external customers.

The design came about after Cone Drive spent a lot of time analyzing their website analytics statistics. The main issue that had arose from these stats was how to improve the amount of time customers spent on the website and at the same time reduce the bounce rate (customers who land on the website and leave straight away).

Various website meetings were conducted with senior management and also various customers as to the best way to improve the website and the customer experience when using the Cone Drive website. The main points that arose in these meetings have been implemented in the final design.

One factor that was constantly mentioned was the need to be able to find "what you were looking for quickly and easily". This led to the use of the "quick find boxes" at the bottom of the page which lead the visitor directly to the main parts of the website i.e. products, resources, applications and latest news.

The new navigation at the top of the page is now also limited to just the main points of the website. With the aim of trying to direct the customers exactly to what they want quickly and easily. If they don't find what they want here a link to the websites sitemap is available in the top right hand corner to ensure everyone finds what they want. From the research conducted during the testing stage of the website this has been well received by everyone questioned.

The banner section on the front page now aims to sell the main aspects of Cone Drives business. Double enveloping worm gear technology, accudrive servo technology, the engineered specials and all round capabilities that Cone Drive are capable of and the full standard product range.

The new design is the first of many developments that Cone Drive will be implementing in the coming months.

Cone Drive who specialise in worm gearing (www.conedrive.com/wormgear.php) use the combined and with locations throughout the world are experts in gearbox manufacturing (davidbrown.com/industrial-gearboxes.php) and Benzlers of Scandinavia (www.benzlers.com ) who are world renowned for screw jack technology.
