New video wall controller system validated by Matrox supports up to seven Mura boards across 28 HD inputs and 28 HD outputs

Montreal, Canada - Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced that Blue Chip Technology will develop integrated hardware systems driven by Matrox® Mura(TM) MPX Series video wall controller boards. The Blue Chip Technology-manufactured Ultima industrial PC will support up to seven Mura boards, which are designed to be combined in a single system as building blocks of increasingly large-scale setups. Mura's revolutionary design comprises a video wall in a card and features up to four inputs and outputs on each board. The resulting Ultima Mura video wall controller supports up to 28 high-definition inputs and outputs for added audiovisual flexibility and versatility.

Mura leverages 64 Gbit/sec duplex data transfer for exceptional performance and image quality without any compromises to resolution or frame rate. Multi-functional in nature, Mura facilitates video switching, signal conversion, scaling and de-interlacing all from a single board, thereby eliminating the need for separate solutions. Mura boards are also designed to be used anywhere from within corporate board rooms and classrooms to mission-critical environments that require higher-density, scalable video walls.

"Matrox Mura boards are at the forefront of video wall functionality within the AV industry," said Barry Husbands, Managing Director, Blue Chip Technology. "The Ultima Mura video controller system will undoubtedly follow suit, with Ultima's long history of reliability and Mura's game-changing feature set serving as perfect complements to one another."

The Ultima is the premium industrial PC from Blue Chip, featuring an Intel i7 Quad Core CPU. Its rack-mount, stainless steel chassis and memory up to 24 GB DDR are further evidence of Blue Chip's reputation for outstanding design and quality.

"Matrox firmly believes partnering with Blue Chip Technology bodes extremely well for Mura and both firms moving forward," said Cecilia Wills, Country Manager, Matrox Graphics UK. "The Ultima Mura controller system has broad appeal that will undoubtedly meet demand spanning multiple industries and satisfy the requirements of all customers seeking the countless benefits to be had from such a high-performance, integrated video wall solution."
