Press release date: November 28, 2007

MONROEVILLE, Pa., Nov. 28 -- Compunetix today announced that the CONTEX Summit(TM) Media Processor has fully completed testing for the Sonus Interoperability Certification Program at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL). This testing, designed to encourage successful interoperability in multi-vendor SIP and VoIP networks, is conducted by the UNH-IOL Consortium, a vendor-neutral testing environment dedicated to promoting network device compatibility with a strong focus on quality assurance. Compunetix, the world leader in audio conferencing media processors, is excited to have the CONTEX Summit platform designated and certified as interoperable with Sonus Networks' equipment. The CONTEX Summit system is the collaboration service industry's premier platform for VoIP and PSTN audio and data conferencing.

The Sonus certification program was launched as part of the Open Services Partner Alliance, the industry's pioneer Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) interoperability testing organization, to further advance network operators' ability to deploy solutions from multiple vendors within their networks. Compunetix customers can be confident that the solution has completed rigorous testing in a vendor independent third-party setting at the University of New Hampshire. The CONTEX Summit media processor and its heavily utilized system APIs are widely deployed across the globe for scalable voice processing in VoIP, PSTN, and mixed network environments. The CONTEX Summit provides a feature rich platform for service deployment, content generation, and voice application development.

Certification is particularly important to network operators who wish to deploy the Summit system within their VoIP networks populated with Sonus Networks equipment. The testing provides verifications of proper signaling and trunking compatibility for highly reliable services in existing and evolving IMS-style network deployments.

"Thorough testing and certification in various networking topologies and with third-party equipment is critical to our customers," explains Mr. Ben Krokosky, Director of Software Engineering at Compunetix. "UNH-IOL's certification program provides independent evidence of the Summit's ability to work reliably for our customers utilizing Sonus Networks gear."

Compunetix is the leading manufacturer of multipoint collaboration equipment and web collaboration software in the world. With over 400,000 ports installed in more than 25 countries, the company has the industry's largest worldwide deployment of digital teleconferencing systems.
