Composites Manufacturing 2008 Makes a Three-Day Stop in Salt Lake City



April 14 - 16 - Hilton Salt Lake City Center Media Invited to Industry Tours & Other Events

WHO: The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) will host the Composites Manufacturing 2008. This annual event, co-sponsored by the State of Utah, ATK Aerospace Structures, CG Tech, Electroimpact, Hexcel, High Performance Composites, Lovejoy Tool Company, Mtorres, Utah G overnor's Office of Economic Development and Verisurf Software, will kick off April 14, 2008 in scenic Salt Lake City.

WHAT: Composites 2008 is designed by manufacturers for manufacturers wanting to discover the best practices of how to incorporate these strong, yet flexible materials into current operations. This three-day event will include workshops, technical sessions, leading company keynote addresses, numerous exhibits, off-site tours and a "Meet, Greet & Discover" Exhibit Reception taking place at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center.

SPECIAL EVENTS
The media is invited to:
o Attend Composite Manufacturing Visual and Composite Repair (Hands-on) Workshops on April 14 (Visual Workshop: 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and Repair Workshop: 1 - 4 p.m.)
o Tour a piece of history and the modern marvel of Kennecott's Bingham Canyon Copper Mine or visit the Hill Aerospace Museum showcasing more than 80 historic military aircraft, missiles and aerospace vehicles April 14 (Check-in time for the tours is 12:30 - 12:45 pm outside of the Hilton Salt Lake City Center's Grand Ballroom)
o Enjoy a "Meet, Greet & Discover" Exhibit Reception April 15 from 4 - 5:30 p.m.
