Developers May Choose Any Programming Style to Build Web Apps Using ComponentOne Controls
PITTSBURGH - Microsoft BUILD, held September 16-19, 2011 in Anaheim, CA introduced developers to the future of Windows and ways to take advantage of it. The big announcement was that developers worldwide may now use HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to build Windows applications. Chris Bannon, product manager at ComponentOne was the first to share that week that ComponentOne has controls working in Windows 8. In his "Charting in Windows 8 with Wijmo" blog post, Bannon showcased the company's JavaScript charts rendering in a Windows 8 Metro application. The amazing story here is that ComponentOne's HTML5 and jQuery framework, known as Wijmo, can be used to create WebForms, MVC, HTML5/jQuery and now Windows 8 applications. Using ComponentOne Wijmo (JavaScript UI library), developers can today, be one of the first to create amazing Windows 8 applications.
