Component Repair Management, Inc. Launches New Web Site

On February 3, 2014, Component Repair Management, Inc. (CRMI) will officially launch their newly developed web site, www.componentrepairmanagement.com. Since 1997, CRMI has been serving the repair and overhaul aerospace market as a FAA Repair Station located in Muskegon, Michigan. The web site highlights CRMI’s repair service expertise and showcases some key past projects. Both prospective and existing customers will benefit from the new web site.

Increasingly, aircraft operators are looking for ways to lower their cost for repairs, which often includes examining the choice between buying new parts versus repairing used ones. Fortunately for CRMI, those economic decisions are bringing more repair orders their way. Common repairs are often accomplished using established aircraft and engine OEM repair procedures. When those repair procedures don’t exist or new and improved ones are needed, CRMI also has the capability and expertise to develop custom FAA DER approved repairs. Utilizing their dedicated employees’ welding, blending, and finishing skills, CRMI can correctly repair engine run turbine components, returning them to service for a fraction of the cost of new parts.

Nozzle guide vanes, shroud assemblies, discharge nozzles, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and anti-ice shield assemblies are just a few examples of the non-rotating hardware that CRMI can repair. CRMI repairs oil and fuel pump assemblies using a proprietary epoxy formulation that restores worn bore and gear pockets. Component Repair Management, Inc. has a wide range of aerospace hardware blending, polishing, and de-burring capabilities, as well as nickel, cobalt, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy TIG welding expertise. In addition, there is on-site Electro Discharge Machining (EDM), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection. Approved business partners provide hydrogen fluoride ion cleaning, brazing, coating, and airflow testing. Instead of tossing worn, cracked, and broken aerospace components into the metal recycling barrel, aircraft operators are turning to CRMI for cost effective repair and overhaul solutions.
