Hartmann Electronic has further expanded its comprehensive range of CompactPCI backplanes. In the past, only two different power backplanes with a P47 connector were available. Now the customer can also order a cPCI backplane with an integrated P47 connector. Hartmann has coined the name "RD series" for these backplanes. For the time being, they are available in 3U and with 1 to 8 slots. The customer has a choice among numerous variants: 32 or 64-bit, 33 or 66 MHz, with or without rear I/O. Two different assembly variants can be supplied - a standard variant (equipped only with a P47 power supply connector) and a professional variant, which additionally features an ATX connector plus floppy, utility, JTAG and IPMBO connectors. The professional variant also comes with screwed connections for voltages of 3.3 V, 5 V, +/-12 V, GND and chassis GND.
The professional variant provides an ideal development platform with all the options needed for maximum flexibility. The standard variant is ideal for series production to implement economical systems.
