Washington, D.C. - July 9, 2009 - The R&D Credit Coalition applauds House Small Business Committee Subcommittee on Contracting and Technology Chairman Glenn C. Nye (D-VA) for holding a hearing to recognize the importance of the federal Research & Experimentation Tax Credit for small business innovators.

"We appreciate Chairman Nye for raising awareness of the importance of the R&D tax credit to small businesses," said Collie Hutter, CFO, Click Bond, Inc., Carson City, NV. "With many small businesses struggling, strengthening and permanently extending the R&D tax credit can provide the certainty small business owners need to continue their research activities-and keep jobs here in the United States."

The R&D Credit Coalition is a group of more than 100 trade and professional associations along with small, medium and large companies that collectively represent millions of American workers engaged in U.S.-based research throughout major sectors of the U.S. economy, including aerospace, agriculture, biotechnology, chemicals, electronics, energy, information technology, manufacturing, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, software and telecommunications.
