Comfort is Key for FR Rainwear

National Safety Apparel Reimagines FR Rain Protection

With March 20th marking the official arrival of spring, April's infamous rain showers are not far off. To prepare, National Safety Apparel re-releases its inventive arc rainwear lines, Arc Extreme and Arc Extreme Hybrid.

"Workers are demanding more from their rainwear than ever before," says NSA's vice president of sales, Duane Siders. "Comfort and breathability are becoming more important, especially for those whose rainwear serves as their daily wear." For that reason, NSA brings two high-tech arc and flash-fire resistant series to the table.

The Arc Extreme FR rain jacket and overall pant features unique multi-layered material to offer arc protection and breathability. The Nomex® layers provide protection from arc flash fires and open flames, while the PTFE microporous moisture barrier is wind- and waterproof, along with breathability for additional comfort.

The Arc Extreme Hybrid rainwear line combines arc flash and FR protection with ANSI/ISEA 107 compliant high visibility for Class 2 and Class 3 applications. The material is the same breathable fabric used in the Arc Extreme rain apparel, and features fluorescent yellow material and reflective striping. The jacket is built to minimize exposure of seams to direct moisture impact, and is finished with a durable water repellent coating.

Both the Arc Extreme and Extreme Hybrid FR rainwear lines meet ASTM F1891 and F2733 standards for arc and flash fire, and include additional enhanced safety features, such as a roll-away hood large enough to fit over a hard hat, and a D-Ring harness opening on the back for fall protection equipment. These elements, combined with NSA's high quality standards, make it the most advanced FR rainwear available.
