Press release date: January 18, 2007

Breda, The Netherlands - Cobar BV, a leading global supplier of solder pastes, fluxes, and other electronics soldering materials, announces the launch of its new web site at www.cobar.com.

The new web site is comprehensive, easy to navigate, and interactive. Additionally, reflecting the Cobar Group's global market penetration, the product data pages of the site can be viewed in seven (7) different languages.

The site offers complete and valuable information about soldering alloys, fluxes, and other materials in easy-to-use color-coded chart and matrix forms. This is especially helpful to process materials planners implementing lead-free solders, pastes, and compatible fluxes. Cobar has been especially strong in the development of low-VOC and VOC-free fluxes; the web site contains plenty of information on the application of these fluxes to today's challenging assembly technologies.

The amount of technical material and process animation on the web site is considerable; a Virtual Helpdesk feature takes the visitor through animated process steps such as solder paste stencil printing or dispensing, complete with appropriate aperture dimensions, etc., a very complete and thorough resource. Additionally, the Virtual Helpdesk contains a tremendous amount of information about Pb-free and VOC-free materials, processes, and issues.

One especially attractive feature is a Virtual Tour of the company's manufacturing and quality control processes, the next best thing to actually visiting the plant in Holland.

The strongest feature of the new Cobar Group web site - in addition to its simplicity of navigation and clean look - is the wealth of uncluttered technical information easily available, covering all aspects of the soldering process. This site will prove to be a valuable, quick-reference resource to every process engineer associated with the soldering stage of electronics assembly.

The Cobar Group is a leading global supplier of solder pastes, fluxes, and other electronics soldering materials for electronics assembly. Cobar BV, founded in 1983 in Holland, is the technological center and headquarters of the Cobar Group. Contact the company at Aluminiumstraat 2, 4823 AL Breda, Holland, or PO Box 3251, 4800 DG Breda, Holland, Tel +31 (0)76 544 5566.
