World of Asphalt and AGG1 Shows Are Set for Success with Strong Advance Registration and Exhibit Numbers

Co-located shows will be industry gathering place

With their opening just several days away, the co-located AGG1 Aggregates Forum & Expo and World of Asphalt Show & Conference are set to be an unqualified success. Advance registration is tracking ahead of the 2009 events, with registrants from 30 countries worldwide in addition to the U.S. and Canada. Exhibit space already tops last year's final total. Education tickets sold to date are also ahead of the 2009 pace.

The shows will run February 15-18, 2010 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and will be the industry gathering place for aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance, and traffic safety professionals.

"It's still not the best of times, but recovery will come. Industry professionals need to position themselves to stay competitive and not be left behind in the changing marketplace. Attending or exhibiting at AGG1 and World of Asphalt is one of the best ways to do that," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro.

Magestro cited the extensive array of industry education sessions that will be offered as a major draw for the 2010 shows. "The education is multi-faceted and targeted, from fundamentals to the latest best practices, offering attendees ready-to-use operational tactics and management strategies," Magestro noted.

On the show floor, attendees will have more new products and technologies to check out, with 340-plus exhibitors taking nearly 87,000 net square feet of exhibit space to date. "All the major industry companies are signed up, and about 25 percent are first-time exhibitors who also see the shows' value to connect with customers," Magestro said.

Industry support and partnering is a key factor which will increase networking opportunities for show participants and provide maximum return on their show investment.

More than 20 U.S., Canadian and worldwide organizations are official show supporters. Co-located events with AGG1 and World of Asphalt 2010 include Flexible Pavements of Ohio annual meeting, Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky (PAIKY) winter training school, and National Traffic Management and Work Zone Safety power workshop.

"Trade shows are proven as a very affordable and effective way to conduct business. Industry involvement enhances the show experience, and everyone benefits from the time and cost savings of co-located events," Magestro stated.

Online show registration is still available and will be offered throughout the run of the shows, in addition to onsite registration. Details are online at www.worldofasphalt.com or www.agg1.org.
