Press release date: September 28, 2007

Milwaukee - Cleaver-Brooks will be displaying product enhancements to its advanced boiler control system, CB Hawk ICS, designed to improve boiler system efficiencies, at the 2007 Automation Fair sponsored by Rockwell Automation.

This year's event takes place in Chicago, Ill. at the new McCormick Place West on November 14 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Automation Fair is the premier industry event focusing on advanced automation products; integrated control and information architecture; value- add services and solutions.

At the event Cleaver-Brooks, a world-renowned provider of boiler room products and systems, will be showing the latest upgrade to its CB Hawk ICS - the Stack Draft Control - which helps boilers reduce draft losses and balance drafts when the boiler is off-line.

The enhancement will help customers achieve energy efficiency. Drafts in boilers can cool down heated water in the boiler tank requiring more energy to be used when it comes time to fire-up the boiler again.

An operational CB Hawk ICS will not only featured at the Cleaver-Brooks booth #801 but also on display at the Rockwell Automation exhibit which emphasizes the partnership between Cleaver-Brooks and Rockwell in creating cutting-edge boiler room controls.

Cleaver-Brooks used Rockwell's flexible compact logix software as a control platform and customized it to meet the specific needs of a boiler system.

In addition to the CB Hawk ICS, there will be other two control devices on display that are used on boiler accessories.

The Advanced Deaerator Control system ("ADAC") features an Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC. The control system includes color touch screen, remote communications, automatic pump alerting system, permits variable frequency drive and soft start pump control, and seamlessly interfaces with building automation systems.

Cleaver-Brooks' model LCS 150 E control system includes an Allen-Bradley Pico GFX programmable controller. The control system is used to maintain constant water levels and enunciate various alarms on deaerators, surge tanks, boiler feed tanks and condensate recovery vessels.

These controls are available on all Cleaver-Brooks' deaerators including the newest deaerator offering, the Spraymaster Signature Series. Deaerators are used to extend boiler and steam system life and increase boiler system efficiency by preventing corrosion of boiler surfaces, steam supply piping, condensate return lines and reducing boiler blowdown losses.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Cleaver-Brooks is a world-renowned provider of boiler room products and systems that outperform and outlast the competition. Selling to both the commercial and industrial markets, Cleaver- Brooks is the only manufacturer offering an entirely integrated boiler room system. The company's products are backed by a world-class distribution network that provides superior aftermarket support. Visit cleaver- brooks.com for more information.
