New PCoIP Zero Client Showcases ClearCube's Customization Service

AUSTIN, Texas, June 7, 2011 - ClearCube Technology, the leader in virtual desktop products for cloud computing, rack mounted secure workstations and blade PCs, today announced the launch of the Cloud Desktop 7422 DB9 Digital Fiber PCoIP® Zero Client and the ClearCube Zero Client Customization Service.

The ClearCube CD7422 DB9 Zero Client was developed at the request of a large government agency that required the DB9 serial connector in order to connect to the peripherals in their environment. They also required a zero client that connects directly to their digital fiber network with an SFP module. ClearCube delivered this industry first solution and at the same time showcased the ClearCube Zero Client Customization capabilities.

"Standard zero clients may require an enterprise or IT organization to upgrade peripherals or require the purchase of adapters that create points of failure and add to the capital expense of a virtual desktop deployment," said Randy Printz, CEO of ClearCube Technology. "We've implemented agile manufacturing processes that enable us to meet the exact requirements of the customer and their environment and therefore simplify the deployment and reduce the total cost of ownership."

Customers that have peripherals that require special connectors or network environments can configure their ClearCube Zero Client to their exact specifications. Optional features include, but are not limited to, custom case, CAC readers, Smartcard readers, 10/100/1000 Mbps digital fiber connections as well as DB9 serial connectors.

"ClearCube continues to deliver innovative and robust solutions based on our PCoIP protocol," said Dan Cordingley, President and CEO of Teradici Corporation. "Their ability to deliver to the customers' specifications has positioned them to take full advantage of the VDI adoption growth curve."
