Rockville, MD - The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) has announced that its monthly magazine, Cleaning & Restoration, recently won two Apex awards for publication excellence. Both awards recognized features that appeared in the magazine during 2011.
"Bringing Back the Music: The Schermerhorn Symphony Center Restoration," a feature story in the March 2011 issue recounting the efforts of Royal Plus DKI to clean and restore the Schermerhorn Symphony Center following devastating floods in 2010, won a feature writing award.
The November/December 2011 issue of Cleaning & Restoration included a special tribute to RIA's technical director and the founder of the Certified Restorer® program, Martin L. King, CR, ASA. This issue won a 2012 Apex Award for Publication Excellence in the Special Purpose Writing category.
