Clean Harbors Receives Safe Contractor Award From BP America, Inc.


Clean Harbors Employees Log More Than 50,000 Hours at BP's Indiana Refinery Without Lost Time, Injury or Illness During the Past Three Years

Norwell, MA - May 21, 2008 - Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. ("Clean Harbors"), the leading provider of environmental and hazardous waste management services throughout North America, today announced that it has been recognized by BP America, Inc. as a contractor who worked 20,000 or more hours during 2007 with no OSHA recordable injury. This award acknowledges Clean Harbors' commitment to high safety standards including safety expectations, accountability, responsiveness to project requests, and zero injuries or incidents while working onsite at BP's refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
