PITTSBURGH, PA - Chromalox, a leading manufacturer of electric heat and control products, announced today that Chromalox Mineral Insulated (MI) Heating Cable has achieved a series of major global certifications, including CSA, and Factory Mutual.
Chromalox MI Cable uses the highest grade nickel-alloy metal sheath to enable the cable to maintain temperatures up to 1100 deg F (595 deg C), making it ideal for process temperature maintenance and freeze protection in the alternative fuels, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, food, and pulp and paper industries. Chromalox MI cable is suitable for applications where operating temperatures are too high for plastic cables, such as steam lines used in power generation. It is also useful in embedded snow melting and roof and gutter de-icing applications.

o Factory Mutual - Div 2 groups A,B,C,D Class I - Zone 2 AEx d IIC
