Press release date: February 1, 2007
Burgaw, N.C. - February 2007 Chloride proudly introduces the newest addition to our outdoor lighting family. The Solaray combines an industry recognized, outdoor wall-mounted light and an integral emergency lamp for a single fixture for normal and egress lighting. One 100-watt, high-pressure sodium lamp or one 100-watt, metal halide lamp, combined with a polished specular aluminum reflector, provides normal illumination. A 35-watt, instant strike Xenarc lamp, powered through a remote emergency battery unit (Chloride's CPM or TMF unit), provides emergency illumination (external emergency power required).
Installation and wiring is made easy with a pre-mountable wall box with integral splice chamber, built-in bubble level, and a polarized, low-voltage, emergency power connector with a 10 foot interconnect. The Solaray is ETL listed to UL 924 standards, UL 1598 standards, CSA C22.2 No 141-02 standards, and CSA C22.2 No 250.0-04 standards. The Solaray is wet location listed -40°F (40°C) to 104°F (40°C).
