HOUSTON - Digisonics PACS & Structured Reporting Software Solutions will be implemented as the enterprise reporting system at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) in Aurora, CO for pediatric echo, CTA/MRA and maternal fetal medicine studies.
The Digisonics PACS and Structured Reporting System will provide the Pediatric Cardiology department at CHCO with a comprehensive clinical database, high-powered PACS and professional reporting capabilities with automated z-score analysis and congenital cardiology diagram support. The Maternal Fetal Medicine department will benefit from the system's comprehensive fetal growth analysis package, AAURA Risk Assessment, fetal anatomy tables and multi-fetus reporting. With the addition of the Digisonics web-based application, clinical users will also have the benefit of real-time anywhere, anytime access to their studies for fully-functional remote reading.
Bi-directional HL7 interfaces will connect the Digisonics PACS and Structured Reporting System with EPIC for a fully electronic workflow. An added upgrade to the Results Out interface, DigiLink, will embed a hyperlink to a PDF copy of the finalized report in the HL7 message. Digisonics DataLink modules will streamline the clinical workflow at Children's Hospital Colorado by providing auto-populated patient biometry from the ultrasound machines directly into the Digisonics system. In addition, Digisonics DICOM Gateway software will continuously process and transmit all patient data and images ensuring a seamless electronic workflow.
CHCO will also benefit from the Digisonics Search Package, a highly configurable search engine. This powerful tool allows the facility to quickly set up search criteria to extract clinical information for use in research, compile statistics required for accreditation, and generate management reports to target areas for productivity and efficiency.
