Press release date: July 31, 2012

BURLINGTON, Mass. - Certeon, the application performance company, today announced a partnership with top South African Communication Solution Provider Kathea. Kathea will resell Certeon's aCelera solution along with its already comprehensive communication portfolio. The partnership promises improved application performance and efficiency for their customers throughout Africa.

Certeon offers a compelling, virtualized and cost-effective solution to substantially accelerate the performance of any application, for any user, on any device, on any network by 25X.

By adding Certeon's portfolio of software and virtual appliance solutions to its product portfolio, Kathea has enhanced its Wide Area Network (WAN). Cloud, and core communication offerings for customers that require global Application Acceleration, as well as providing opportunities for integrating Application Acceleration with vendor solutions from Microsoft, VBrick, Polycom and others.

Certeon delivers high performance Application Acceleration software and virtual appliances. Certeon aCelera provides a more scalable, flexible, cost-effective, and manageable solution for IT managers and business application owners than traditional, hardware, or first generation Application Acceleration and WAN optimization products. aCelera software improves application response times by 25X and lowers network bandwidth requirements by up to 95 percent without proprietary hardware.

We are honored that Kathea, after comprehensive review of the market and our competitors, selected us as their partner. The team at Certeon looks forward to a mutually meaningful business relationship and many successful implementations. Massood Zarrabian, CEO of Certeon, said, "The aCelera platform is the most flexible and scalable solution available in the market place today. Certeon offers a solution for every customer use case: from virtual appliances to Windows software. Kathea will be able to offer prospective customers performance, scalability and future proof technology that moves tactical solutions to strategic engagements. This is a win for Certeon, Kathea and their customers."

Alain Schram, Kathea's CTO, said, "Certeon's solutions are a compelling addition to our enterprise communication offerings. They are designed for use in current and next generation virtualization environments; integrate well with other portfolio products. aCelera is especially relevant as our customers move their applications infrastructures to cloud - it lets them get up and running today inside the enterprise and connect to the cloud without any product additions, product changes or expense. Customers can maximize their existing IT resources and networking capabilities."

"We look forward to bringing aCelera to market and providing customers with an important new solution that addresses application and network efficiency challenges."
