Press release date: January 22, 2006
(Valley Forge, Pennsylvania) - CertainTeed Corporation, one of North America's leading building products manufacturers, invites attendees of the 2006 International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Exposition [AHR Expo(R)] to test the performance benefits of the popular ToughtGard(R)2 Textile Duct Liner at CertainTeed booth 1723. The AHR Expo is the world's largest HVAC&R trade show and runs from January 23 - 25, 2006, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
"While experts on all our mechanical and industrial insulation products will be on hand, our interactive booth exhibit is designed specifically to provide engineers and contractors first-hand knowledge of how the next-generation technology of ToughGard2 truly works. It will be an entertaining way for show attendees to get acquainted with this superior product," says Renee Chesler, General Manager of CertainTeed's HVAC/Industrial Business.
Located in the North Hall, visitors of the CertainTeed booth can test the following performance features at CertainTeed's interactive exhibit:
o Acoustics and Sound Control. Using equipment on hand, visitors measure the sound generated in lined versus unlined duct. ToughGard2 liner absorbs equipment and air rush noises over a broad spectrum of sound by trapping and dissipating noise within the glass fiber material.
o Moisture Resistance. As moisture is exposed to the airstream surface of the duct liner, visitors see the water form beads that quickly dry during operation.
o Cutability. A CertainTeed specialist demonstrates how easily and smoothly ToughGard 2 Textile Duct Liner cuts, as well as other contractor-friendly qualities, such as less dust generated during fabrication.
o Durability and Surface Strength. Visitors watch as ToughGard2 is tested for its exceptional resistance to tearing, puncturing, cleaning and surface wear during a scrubbing exhibition. The liner also features outstanding tensile strength and excellent recovery after compression.
