Laurens, SC, January 12, 2010 -CeramTec North America Corporation (CTNA), a major supplier of Advanced Technical Ceramics and leader in Hermetic products, is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Joe Byouk as their new President.
Mr. Byouk was introduced to the CeramTec employees by Dr. Ulf-D Zimmermann, Chairman of the Board of CeramTecAG. When introducing Mr. Byouk, Dr. Zimmermann said, "Joe brings much experience to CeramTec North America and I am pleased that he is your President. There are many new advancements at CTNA and he will be an asset to the growth of the company."
Joe has over 22 years of experience in Sales and Executive Management. He comes to us from Morgan Advanced Material and Technology where, for 8 years, he was an Executive Team Member and Business Unit Director for two of their Carbon and Graphite business units. Prior to his employ with Morgan, he worked for AMP, Inc. (Tyco Electronics), the largest connector manufacturer in the world, where he served first as Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and then Global Product Manager.
A native of Aiken, South Carolina, Joe graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. Degree -- Double Major Marketing and Finance.
When addressing the employees, Joe stated that he is "very pleased to join CeramTec North America. The high performing team at CTNA has positioned themselves for substantial growth through investment in improving operational and commercial performance. I am excited to be part of that growth going forward."
