November 4, 2008

Troy, New York - Ceralink Inc., a materials engineering and technology commercialization company, announced today the signing of an exclusive licensing agreement granting Harrop Industries the right to market and build industrial kilns using Microwave Assist Technology (MAT(TM)).

MAT(TM) is a cutting edge heating technology that combines microwave with traditional gas or electric heating, bringing cost effective manufacturing solutions to ceramics and metals industries. Benefits of MAT(TM) include significant energy and time savings, improved product quality and advancements in new product development (e.g. nano-materials).

Ceralink licensed MAT(TM) from C-Tech Innovations (U.K.) in 2005, to advance the development of MAT(TM) and bring the energy saving technology to kiln manufacturers and materials manufacturers in North America. In 2007, Ceralink teamed with Harrop and Thermex Thermatron (KY) to design and build the worlds first production size MAT(TM) atmosphere control kiln (1600°C MAT(TM) elevator kiln) for Touchstone Research Laboratories in Triadelphia, WV. This successful 27 ft3 industrial installation has since validated key commercial benefits of MAT(TM), including firing time reductions up to 80%, energy consumption cuts up to 60%, reduced processing temperatures, and enhancement of critical material properties in the end product.

Ceralink, a global leader in the development of microwave processing technologies, specializes in materials consulting, R&D, microwave technology and scale up, materials analysis, and lean green engineering. Throughout their 8 years in business, Ceralink has combined top notch engineering with materials innovation and dedication to the development of sustainable manufacturing solutions.
