Centrax Sets Early Sales Pace in 2013 |

Centrax, the leading UK power-generation packaging specialist, has begun 2013 by winning major orders for its gas turbine products from Italy and France.
ITALY:
The second order for the latest Centrax product, the recently-launched CX400 powered by the 12.9MW Siemens SGT-400 gas turbine, is from the Italian energy management company Fenice. The CX400 will provide heat and power for the Huntsman Tioxide plant in Scarlino, 100km south of Florence, which produces titanium dioxide for use as a pigment in paint. The order includes a long-term maintenance contract provided by Centrax.
FRANCE:
Contract energy management company Dalkia has ordered a Centrax CX501-KB7 package for a district heating plant near Cenon, Bordeaux. This 5MW cogeneration unit replaces an older, competitor's generator set that has reached the end of its 12-year contract.
An important customer benefit of the Centrax unit is its ability to use the existing boiler and much of the ductwork, significantly reducing installation costs.
The Siemens SGT 300 and 400 range of gas turbines complement the UK Company's existing Rolls-Royce powered product range by giving customers one of the widest choices of power output in Europe, with a range of between 3.9MW and 64MW.
These orders follow a highly successful 2012 for Centrax, during which the UK company achieved its best-ever year in the fast-growing and highly competitive Russian market.
The current success of Centrax in the Russian markets builds on its experience in Europe, where it has delivered packaged gas turbines for power generation and cogeneration applications since 1979. This year in Russia alone Centrax technicians are preparing to install and commission 17 generating sets that will allow significant expansion of three major oil fields.
