Strongsville, Ohio. Ceilcote Air Pollution Control, a global leader in the design and manufacture of systems for industrial waste treatment and air pollution control, received a 7.2 million dollar contract for the design and supply of a complete process system for destruction of gaseous and liquid silicone chemical waste streams. The system will consist of a down-flow incinerator followed by exhaust treatment to remove acid gases and submicron silicon dioxide particulate. The primary component for emission abatement will be Ceilcote APC's proprietary Ionizing Wet Scrubber (IWS) which is specially suited for this application. The system will be installed at a new facility located in Eastern China. Primary system design will be a collective effort of the company's design offices in Strongsville, Ohio, and Pfungstadt, Germany with project management, support engineering, fabrication and start-up services being supplied by the company's Asia headquarters in Shanghai, China. The entire system has been designed to meet or exceed local Chinese emission standards (GB-18484-2001).
