Sidney, NY, October 2005 -- Amphenol Industrial Operations, a manufacturer of high reliability connectors and interconnection systems for the industrial markets, has just published a new catalog detailing its industrial interconnection products for rail/mass transit, petrochemical, power generation, telecommunications, process control, and heavy equipment applications.
The 12-page, full-color catalog outlines a wide range of industrial interconnection solutions, including the Amphe-Lite, Amphe-Power, and Tru-Loc series of connectors. Details for each include applications, standards, coupling type, termination type, environmental performance, electrical performance, optional features, typical markets, and a full-color photograph.
Many of the products feature Amphenol's patented RADSOKŪ contact system, which allows for more amperage and voltage through a smaller connector and is described in the catalog. RADSOK utilizes the tensile strength properties of the flat, high conductivity alloy grid for the high normal forces required for conductivity, while
providing a large conductive surface area. This results in a correspondingly low voltage drop and low temperature rise while maintaining low insertion forces.
