Companies to Collaborate to Service the Domestic Knife Blade Market WYOMISSING, Pa. - July 28, 2010 - Carpenter Technology Corporation (NYSE: CRS), a leader in the development and manufacture of high-performance specialty alloys, today announced an exclusive deal with SB Specialty Metals LLC. Together, the two companies will bring sport and military knife blade materials to a much broader market in both the U.S. and Canada.

Under the terms of the venture, Carpenter will produce its Carpenter CTS(TM) suite of materials featuring the highly sought after CTS XHP and CTS BD1 alloys. SB Specialty Metals, formerly a part of Crucible Materials Corp., will then distribute the cutting blade materials and provide customer service.
