Fully supported, high quality boards all Solaris® ready Brockton, Mass. - Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions, an innovative leader in electronic packaging, is offering their complete range of fully supported, high quality legacy boards at reduced prices through the end of March 2009. These include the Aries 8000P and 16000P and the Saturn 4520/22 and 8520/22 series boards that are ideal for the most challenging high speed, high throughput applications.
Carlo Gavazzi's Aries legacy boards are multiport serial communications controllers that enable eight to 16 serial devices to be interfaced from one PCI Bus slot. SPARC® Solaris® ready and Async, 2.1 compliant, Aries boards support asynchronous data transfer rates up to 115.2 kbps. They feature data buffers on each port for increased throughput and performance.
Carlo Gavazzi's Saturn legacy boards also provide performance and high reliability for high-speed serial communications. From one system slot, the Saturn multiport can be used to: access public data networks; link a central location to branch offices; and connect high speed modem banks. The Saturn boards are also SPARC Solaris ready, and are Sync/Async, 2.2 compliant. They support data transfer rates up to 256 kbps synchronous, and 230.4 kbps asynchronous, full duplex. Four to eight- serial devices can be interfaced from one PCI Bus slot.
Carlo Gavazzi also offers a range of other legacy boards at reduced prices, including Apollo, PCI and PMC. Most boards are available for at least 15% off standard prices, all with full technical support from Carlo Gavazzi's industry-leading engineering team.
