Carl Zeiss to Highlight Service, Support and Training at the 2010 Meetings for the Society for Neuroscience and the American Society for Cell Biology

Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, a leading provider of microscopy solutions, will highlight its commitment to service, support, and training at two annual scientific meetings: the Society for Neuroscience, November 14 - 17, at the San Diego Convention Center, and the American Society for Cell Biology, December 12 - 14, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Carl Zeiss representatives will be available at booth #2712 in San Diego and #300 in Philadelphia to discuss service, support, and training available to their customers. Company representatives will also be distributing information for a new service promotion specifically benefiting customers who attend the exhibits.

Carl Zeiss has the largest national microscopy service network, which ensures that their customers have local service engineers who are readily available. Engineers receive four weeks of factory training per year and have an average of over eight years experience servicing Carl Zeiss instrumentation. Additionally, a support team of former scientists and ZEISS trained microscopists are available to customers on weekdays by phone, email, and remote computer connection to answer questions and troubleshoot problems.

Carl Zeiss training programs cover both the theoretical background and practical hands-on skills for a variety of microscopy and imaging applications. The company offers group classes at its New York training facility including basic and advanced digital imaging, automated image analysis, and confocal microscopy. Carl Zeiss will also bring training directly to a customer's site.

"Now more than ever, sufficient knowledge of all available tools and resources is a key factor in driving scientific discovery," said Sven Schirm, Applications Training Manager at Carl Zeiss.
